The war in Yugoslavia led to the emigration of many Jews from Serbia, leaving behind today only 3,000 Jews in Serbia. This community is attacked each time an individual publicly shares their opinion that is not in the line with the government. We will examine the impact of geopolitics, regional politics, right wing governments, and a constant fight over the “truth” about WW2 between Croatia and Serbia, on the Jewish communities in this region.
