Israel and Us: A Community Dialogue

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In the last few years, Israel has become a topic that has polarised our community and has seen a breakdown in civil discourse. Limmud  Cape Town experienced this polarisation in the lead up to their 2018 Conference.  For some, any criticism of Israel is bad.  For others, the drawing of boundaries is seen as tantamount to shutting down free speech. While we don’t have to agree on this topic, is there a way where we can hold diverse opinions and still be a Jewish community? How do Limmud Values guide us? Facilitator Irwin Kula will help us to dialogue with each other  in a way that might become a model for our Limmud and wider community going forward.
