Depictions of Jewishness in the movies have always involved stereotypes. The most recent trend is that of the "multicultural Jew" that emerged in the 1990s. This session explores what the movies of an extended coterie of contemporary Jewish directors, actors and characters say about modern Jewish identity in America and around the world.
