The Sacred and Taboo: What Happened with the “Strange Fire” and Aharon’s sons?

When Aharon’s sons Nadav and Avihu offer “strange fire” to God, they are swiftly and severely punished. We are also told in the text that Aharon was silent. With four esteemed text teachers, we shall explore interpretations of what Aharon’s sons did wrong and consider what might be Judaism’s “strange fires” today.
